This card, made with the Mosaic Madness stamp set, has some shine to it. Can you see it? Hopefully, the glossy dark blue card base shows up in the picture. The technique to get this look has been around for awhile — quite easy to do, and looks really cool.
Also, do you recognize that doily? It’s my restaurant doily! It’s the other half of the one that I had inked up to a shiny silver color and used on the sunburst Christmas card.
Tips: To make the glossy card base, you simply place the front panel of the Night of Navy card base and a clear window sheet into the Modern Mosaic embossing folder (that’s 2 papers in the folder), and run it through the Big Shot die cutting machine. After stamping and adhering the layers on top of the embossed window sheet, place glue dots on the backside of the window sheet to adhere it to the card base. Place the glue dots behind where the top layers are placed so that they don’t show through the window sheet.
